The Burn Is Strong With This One
This is a three year old.
Three weeks ago…
Ziggy: Baba. Dad. Daddy. Grandpa.
Me: Ziggy I hear you—I’m not your grandpa.
Ziggy: Yes you are.
Me: No I’m really not that old yet.
Ziggy: stop talking back or there’s going to be a consequence! Ima call you grandma.
Me: 🤷🏻♂️
Today…
Ziggy: Are you wearing your new glasses?
Me: Yep.
Ziggy: You look like a grandma.
Also today…
Me: (looking everywhere) If you guys don’t help me find the remote I can’t turn your show on.
Ziggy: (very calm and sage like demeanor) Remember, try and solve your own problems.
Me: 🤬
(Found a remote)
Ziggy: See—you kept trying and you solved your own problem.
Me: (I don’t know whether to be screaming in agony or proud she remembers life lessons)
Speaking of finding things, my two year old found the red sharpie in my home office I didn’t know I had.
